Support for a Triple E Senate

The Canada West Foundation conducted a survey of 4,000 Canadians in 2004 from British Columbia to Ontario on regional distinctions. Typically the Canada West Foundation's surveys are confined to Western Canada but for this one they included Ontario as well. The results were significant.

The survey found that 84.4% of Western Canadians and 72% of Ontarians think the Canadian Senate should be Equal and Elected.

When asked if they still support Senate Reform even if it required constitutional reform, 67.3% of Western Canadians support Senate Reform and 59.9% of Ontarians said the same.
